Founded in 1991, the Japan Information Access Project is an independent, U.S. nonprofit [501(c)(3)] research center studying Japanese and Northeast Asian science, security, and public policy and its relationship to U.S. foreign policy. We are resource for scholars, policy experts, and journalists. The Japan Project is supported by its members and grants from American universities and foundations.
